Flemish jurisconsult. Lissewege, c. 1535 - Bruges, 1 June 1568. Studied law at the universities of Louvain and Orléans. On his return from France in 1555, he went to Bruges, where he occupied some high public functions. In 1565 he became professor in Roman law at the University of Douai, but his bad physical condition forced him to resign after only one year. He returned to Bruges where he soon died.
