Brabant physician and astronomer. Son of the famous Gemma Frisius. Louvain, 28 February 1535 - 12/13 October 1578 or 1579. He studied at the University of Louvain, is mentioned for the first time as 'medicus' in 1561, and became doctor in medicine on 23 May 1570. Professor of medicine in the Louvain University in 1569.
