Roman author. Is generally supposed to be identical with the poet-friend of Hadrianus and with P. Annius Florus, author of the dialogue Vergilius orator an poeta. In most editions his name is given as Lucius Annaeus Florus, but the Codex Bamberg, speaks of Julius Florus. His principal work is Epitome bellorum omnium annorum DCC, an abridged Roman history with special reference to the wars waged up to the age of Augustus.
