Physician, 16th century. As he qualified himself 'Sampaulinus', he must have been born in St. Pol. The dedicatory in the 1568-edition of the De tuenda sanitate libri VI being dated Aire, it may be assumed that he was then practising in that city (both St. Pol and Aire were at that time situated in the Netherlandish province of Artois). The only other known work by Fridaevallis, De balneis et eorum usu, methodicum syntagma, was published at Douai in 1565.
