Dutch Franciscan. Born in Brouwershaven at the end of the 15th century. Died on 6 March 1576. In 1555 lector in theology at Louvain, he became later guardian of monasteries of his Order, first at Louvain and then at Malines, till on 8 August 1574 he was chosen provincial of his Order. He was an uncle of the famous Dutch poet, Jacob Cats. Cf.
