Belgian musician. Not much is known about his life. In 1573-1576 he was residing at Vienna at the Court: in 1573 he is mentioned in the service of Archduke Charles as 'praeceptor' of the chorus-singers; in 1576 he became 'Edelknaben-Hofmaister' of Archduke Ernest. In 1576 or shortly afterwards he must have left Vienna, perhaps returning to the Netherlands. He was in any case at Antwerp in May-July 1579. Of his later life nothing is known. Cf. J.A. Stellfeld, Bibliographie des éditions musicales plantiniennes, 1949, pages 48-54.
