Dutch humanist. Born at Gouda, c. 1460 - died after 1523. Canon and for some time prior at the Augustinian monastery of Hemsdonck near Schoonhoven. He lived also at the Augustinian monastery of Hieronymusdal or Lopsen at Leiden. Aurelius was a not unproductive author, but his works and letters remained in manuscript until some of them were edited by Vulcanius in the Batavia of 1586. Cf.
