Plantin published a large number of Offices of the Blessed Virgin in Latin, Latin-French, French and Spanish. Up to 1570 these Offices were, with a single exception, titled Horae Beatae (Beatissimae) Virginis Mariae. If in Plantin's correspondence and account-books they were after 1570 still often called Horae, their official name became, with the reformation of the service books by Pope Pius V, Officium Beatae Mariae Virginis. Consequently, for the Plantin-editions after 1570 see under Officium. Cf. H. Bohatta, Bibliographie des Livres d'Heures (Horae B.M.V.), Officia, Hortuli animae, Coronae B.M.V., Rosaria und Cursus B.M.V. des XV. und XVI. Jahrhunderts, 2nd edited by, 1924. For the Horae and Officia in Parisian libraries: P. Lacombe, Livres d'Heures imprimés au XVe et au XVIe siècle conservés dans les bibliothèques publiques de Paris, 1907.
