Flemish musician and poet. Ghent, 2 May 1542 - Liège, 15 July 1581. Studied at the Universities of Cologne and Louvain. His uncle Livinus Torrentius, then vicar-general of Liège, had him appointed canon at St. Martin in Liège. He died only 39 years old, drowned by accident in the Meuse. Cf.
