Note 2 | As stated on the title-page: edited by Theodorus Pulmannus. In fact a reprint of Plantin's 1564-edition by Pulmannus (including the dedicatory to Gaspar Schetus [Schetz], dated 11 October 1563) (see no. cp010832). Have been added, as also stated on the title-page, in the form of marginals 'Pauli Manutii annotationes. Homeri loca quae Virgilius imitatus est' (taken from Plantin's 1565/66 and 1572 editions: see nos. cp010862 and cp013103). The 'Georgii Fabricii observationes' announced on the title-page (and figuring in the 1565/66 and 1572 editions) have in fact not been reproduced. |
