| Note 2 | 'Les epistres de Phalaris' must be a reprint either of the edition of Jean Longin, Paris, 1550 (Brunet, IV, Column 597) or - more likely - of the edition of Benoit Rigaud and Jean Saugrain, Lyons, 1556 (Baudrier, Bibliographie lyonnaise, 3, pages 198-199). The 'Manuel d'Epictete', with the 'Sentences des philosophes de Grèce', was first printed at Lyons, Jean de Tournes, 1544 (Brunet, II, Column 1014). The 'Epistres d'Isocrates' must also be a reprint of a Parisian or Lyons publication. |
