Note 1A complementary volume to Plantin's Terentius of 1580 (cf. no. 2287.
Note 2Revised edition of the 1565-publication (see no. cp012919). The Annotationes were also issued in 1576-1577 (see no. cp010322), but as no copy is known of that edition, it is not clear if this revised text is the first to have been published or if it is a simple reprint of the 1576-1577 publication. Cf., however, in the Notes in preceding no. the remark on the amended copy of the 1565-edition.
Note 3In the note preceding his Variae lectiones Th. Pulmannus lists, besides the manuscripts and the printed edition already mentioned in the 1565-text, two new sources: 'duo mei codices antiqui'.
Note 4Listed in M 296, folio 18v ([Terentius in 8⁰ Mureti etc. 1580] Annotationes in eundem separatim, f[euilles] 8, [price:] stuivers 2½), and M 321.
