Online bibliographical references
Note 1Contains: Letters to Atticus (pages 1-452); T. Pomponii Attici vita auctore Cornelio Nepote (452-465). Edited by Simeon Bosius, who seems to have used some manuscripts he had acquired personally (as explained in the foreword).
Note 2Reprint of the edition of Limoges, Apud Hugonem Barbou, 1580 (cf. Brunet, II, Column 48).
Note 3Plantin intended to print with this text-edition Bosius's Animadversiones on Cicero's letters to Atticus as it is said very clearly in the title-page. For some reason this part of the project was postponed and Bosius's Animadversiones appeared only in 1585 as a separate book (cf. no. cp012058.
Note 4Listed in M 296, folio 3r ([Ciceronis] ad Atticum Simon. Bosii, 1581, f[euilles] 31, [price:] stuivers 8. Cum bosio stuivers 12), Ms. 164, folio 5v (idem), and M 321 (sub 1582). The mention 'cum bosio' in M 296 and M 164 is a reference to Bosius's Animadversiones of 1585: after 1585 both editions must normally have been sold together.
