Note 1 | M 296, folio 13v, lists '[Officium B. Mariae] Idem 24⁰, 1580, cum 12 mensibus, f[euilles] 12, [price:] stuivers 12'. M 321, sub 1580, gives the same information: 'Off[iciu]m B. Mariae Pii V. Pont. Max. iussu editum 24⁰. fig[ures] de cuivre etc., f[euilles] 12, [price:] stuivers 12 cum mensibus cuivre'. 'Cum mensibus cuivre' means that the edition includes (in the calendar-section) the representations in copper engraving of the 12 months. No copy known. |
Note 2 | In his letter of 10 December 1579 to Buyssetius Plantin affirms to have on his presses 'Officium B. Mariae rursus in 24⁰ et idem in 32⁰ cum fig[uris] elegantiss.' (Corr., VI, no. 851, page 115). Two copies of each edition were mailed to Arias Montanus in October/November 1580 (Ibidem, no. 892). |
