Note 1Dutch translation of a series of intercepted letters of partisans of King Philip II. For more details see the French edition, no. 1910.
Note 2Type and initials point to Plantin as printer. The typographer, however, did not put his name on the pamphlet but preferred to give one of his compositors, a nephew of his wife, Guillaume Rivière, as the responsible printer and publisher (cf. Rooses, Musée Plantin-Moretus, page 166).
Note 3For some reason part of the edition received a title-page without any name of printer (see cp011435). The French edition presents the same particularity: some copies have on the title-page the name of G. Rivière, in the others no name of printer is given.
