Online bibliographical references | |
Note 1 | Reprint of the 1566-edition. |
Note 2 | The cost-accounting note in Arch. 4, folio 120, gives following details about 'Summa doctrinae Christianae Canisii 16⁰': the wages for composing and printing amount to 29 florins Carolus guilders 15 stuivers, and are noted on 28 June 1567, with the mention 'pour l'impression de 2a edition 11 feilles'. For the 1,250 copies printed 29 reams of paper 'petit carré' (including 2 reams and 10 'mains' for the 'imperfections') were used, which, at 1 florins Carolus guilders 8 stuivers per ream, came to 40 florins Carolus guilders 12 stuivers, bringing the overall costs to 70 florins Carolus guilders 7 stuivers |
Note 3 | According to the colophon, the edition was finished on 2 June 1567. |
Note 4 | Listed in M 296, folio 17v (Summa Doct. xrianȩ P. Canisii, A⁰ 1567, f[euilles] 11, [price:] stuivers 2½). The entry is immediately followed by: 'eadem, A⁰ 1567, f[euilles] -, [price:] stuivers 3½ cum coll. Prateoli'. This probably means that the edition was normally sold together with G. Prateolus Marcossius, Collectio plurium locorum e divina scriptura excerptorum, 1567 (see no. cp012370) (and indeed in the Museum Plantin-Moretus-copy the Canisius 1567-Summa and the Prateolus 1567-edition are bound together). |
