| Note 1 | M 321, sub 1589, mentions a Dutch translation of the Manuale catholicorum: 'Handtboeck der catholijcken om godvruchtelyck te bidden bij een vergadert / door den Eer. V. Peeter Canisius des broederschaps Jesu / doctoor inder Godtheyt, 12⁰, f[euilles] 14 [= 336 pages], [price:] stuivers 3½, cum figuris aeneis stuivers 8'. Also listed with the same data in M 296, folio 9r. This means consequently, that, as was the case with the Latin and French editions of the Manuale catholicorum, a number of copies were illustrated with woodcuts (and sold 3½ stuivers), whilst other copies were ornated with intaglio-illustrations (and sold 8 stuivers). |
