Note 1 Treatise on meteorology.
Note 2 Reprint of the Parisian edition published by Jacques Kerver, 1554 (cf. Brunet, III, Column 1779, who details Mizauld's other publications on meteorology in French and Latin, starting in 1546 with Phaenomena, sive Aeriae ephemerides; he mentions also Plantin's 1556-edition) (The list of Mizauld's works in Cioranesco is longer but the editions less detailed; Plantin's publications are not quoted).
Note 3 The 'Ode aus muses et poëtes d'Anvers' (folios 10 recto-12 verso) has been ascribed to Plantin (cf. Ruelens-de Backer, pages 10-12; Rooses, M. Musée Plantin-Moretus, page 19; Sabbe, Les rimes de Plantin, pages 15-19, no. III [reproduction of the text]; Supplément Correspondance de C. Plantin, no. 259 [idem]).
Note 4 Part of the edition received a new title-page with MDLV changed into MDLVI: the work came out late in 1555 and to promote the sale Plantin must have decided to up-date it by changing the year on the title-page of the remaining copies.
Note 5 Sales for the year 1555 are entered in Arch. 38 (folio 7 verso: 12 copies to Guillaume Symons on 31 October; folio 1 verso: 1 copy to Joannes Steelsius on 14 November). Entries for 1556: 12 copies to Gerard Spelman on 12 January (Arch. 38, folio 11 verso), unspecified number to 'Paris' on 5 August (Arch. 34, page 3), 25 copies to Jehan Mallet in Rouen on 9 November (Ibidem, page 9), 6 copies to Hans de Breque at an unspecified date (Ibidem, page 10), 24 copies to Arnould Langelier in Paris on 14 November (Ibidem, page 11).
Note 6 Listed in M 296, folio 6 recto (Ephemerides perpetuelles de l'air, 12⁰, a⁰ 1555, f[euilles] 20½, [price:] stuivers 2¼), and M 164, folio 11 verso (erroneously: a⁰ 1551).
