Note 1 French poem in honour of Francis, Duke of Anjou and Alençon, presented as a homage of the City of Antwerp to the prince. It was very likely made at the occasion of the visit of Duke Francis to Antwerp, 19 February 1582.
Note 2 The initials 'L.I.' permit to identify the author with Jean de la Jessée.
Note 3 The printer is not indicated but the type and the woodcut with the coat-of-arms of Antwerp point to Plantin.
