Houfflin); [16]: Signed for the Duke by his delegates (Antwerp, 13 August 1578); [17]: Ratification by the Duke (Mons, 20 August 1578); [18-19]: Declaration of the Duke that he considers Don Juan, Governor-General of the Netherlands, to be his enemy (Mons, 9 September 1578); [20-22]: Declaration of the Duke that he received from the States-General as security and military bases the places of Le Quesnoy, Landrechies and Bavay (Mons, 9 September 1578).
