| Note 2 | Plantin published in 1582 Bosius's edition of Cicero's letters to Atticus (cf. no. cp013414). He must have had the idea to print with it Bosius's Animadversiones on the letters to Atticus, but for some reason postponed the project (on the title-page of the 1582 text-edition reference is made to the Animadversiones, this 1582-edition contains also Bosius's dedicatory to Philippus Huraltus, which is lacking in the 1585-publication, although mention of Huraltus is made on the title-page). |

The publication was, consequently, already finished in 1584 (cf. also immediately below). |
