Note 3 As can be deduced from the table on page [2], this edition of treatises on the history of the Netherlands in Antiquity and early Middle Ages was conceived as a kind of sequel to the two similar publications issued by Plantin the year before, in 1584: P. Divaeus, De Galliae Belgicae antiquitatibus liber I (with as appendix: H. Nuenarus, De Gallia Belgica commentariolus) (see nos. cp012505 and cp010621), and A. Ortelius - J. Vivianus, Itinerarium per nonnullas Galliae Belgicae partes (see no. cp012596).
