Note 1 Study on the Pandectae, their division and method.
Note 2 Part of the edition received a title-page with the address of the Ghent bookseller, Jacobus Vivarius.
Note 3 The cost-accounting note in Arch. 4, folio 73, gives the following details about 'Methodus Juris D. Corenhusii': the wages for composing and printing quires B-G are entered on 2 and 9 December 1564 for 7 florins Carolus guilders 4 stuivers; 800 copies were printed, for which were used 11 reams of paper 'petit bastard', which, at 1 florins Carolus guilders 4 stuivers per ream, came to 13 florins Carolus guilders 4 stuivers This note is incomplete: the quires A and H-I are not accounted for in the printing-costs, whilst the 11 reams of paper are only sufficient for 6 quires per copy (= B-G) and not for the 9 quires each copy finally got. The quires A and H-I must have been printed after 9 December 1564; for some reason Plantin forgot to note their expenses for paper and printing.
Note 4 According to the colophon the work was actually finished on 2 January 1565.
Note 5 Listed in M 296, folio 3r (Cornhusii methodus iuris civilis in 8⁰, f[euilles] -, [price:] stuivers 1½) and folio 11v (Methodus Pandectus Guill. Cornhusii in 8⁰, a⁰ -, f[euilles] 9, [price:] stuivers 1½), and M 164, folio 6v.
