Note 2 | Perhaps a reprint of the Latin part of the in folio edition (with Greek and Latin texts) which was published in Paris, by Guillaume Morel, in 1560. |
Note 3 | A reprint in the same format was issued in 1562 'In aedibus Ioannis Steelsii' (copies in Museum Plantin-Moretus, A 3383, and KBR Royal Library of Belgium). Steelsius had the books he published printed by other typographers. The type appearing in his 1562-edition is different from Plantin's 1560-publication, but some woodcut-initials are identical. The privilege seems to be the same as used by Plantin, but without specification of printer. It is, consequently, possible that the 1562 re-issue has actually been printed by Plantin. If not, he must certainly have given his permission. |
Note 4 | 200 'liturgia' were shipped to Maternus Cholinus in Cologne on 20 August 1560 (Arch. 35, folio 114r). Another 20 copies were delivered to Andreas Sassenus for Arnold Birckman on 24 April 1561 (Arch. 36, folio 5r), and 12 copies, worth 2 florins Carolus guilders 14 stuivers, to Pierre du Pré on 28 April 1561 (Ibidem, folio 5v). |
Note 5 | Listed in M 296, folio 10v (Liturgiae S. Patrum in 8º, 1560, f[euilles] 26½, [price:] stuivers 3½). |
