Note 1 | In 1586 were printed of the Centuria an edition in 8º (cf. preceding no.) and an edition in 16mo. As the latter bears on the title-page 'Iterata editio emendatior', the in 8º publication must be considered to be the editio princeps and the in 16mo publication a second edition. |
Note 2 | This second edition is announced to have been 'amended', but these emendationes can only have been slight and small - if there have been any at all: the letters are the same, and their texts seem to be almost identical. |
Note 3 | This edition too was printed in the Officina Plantiniana apud Franciscum Raphelengium in Leiden. It may be taken for granted that part of the edition had the Leiden imprint, but only copies with Plantin's Antwerp imprint are known. |
Note 4 | Listed in M 321, folio 11r (Iterata editio, emendatior 1586, 16º, f[euilles] 12, [price:] stuivers 4). |
