Note 1This arrangement by Erverveldius of Despauterius's Ars versificatoria or Prosodia forms part of a series of 4 compendia after Despauterius's Latin grammar which were published by Plantin in 1568 (cf. sub Novimola, no. 1756).
Note 2The study M.C. de syllabarum quantitate announced in the title-page as forming part of Erverveldius's treatise, received in fact a special title-page and a special pagination which makes of it a separate edition (described sub M. Corderius, no. 1022).
Note 3The book was first published in 1549 (B. Gravius, Louvain: BB, II, pages 175-176, D 449), reprinted in 1551 (Ibidem, pages 176-177, D 450-451), 1554 (Ibidem, page 177, D 452-453), 1560 (Ibidem, page 178, D 454), 1568 (Ibidem, page 178, D 455), and later in 1570, 1571, 1576 (Ibidem, pages 178-179). One of these publications (before 1568) must have served as prototype for Plantin's edition.
