| Note 1 | Roman catechism. As explained on the title-page, Hunaeus had recently edited such a catalogue in the form of a table (in 1567: see preceding no.); he had now enlarged and edited it in the form of a book for use in the schools. In the dedicatory letter to Viglius Zuichemius ab Aytta, the author gives some more details, precising at the same time that he produced the catechism in the form of a table in the first place at the demand and instigation of Zuichemius. |
