Note 1Plantin started in 1570 a second in 16mo edition (cf. the letter to F. Galletti, September - October 1570 [Corr., II, no. 243]: 'Depuis, j'ay encores faict une impression de mille Bréviaires in 8⁰ en ung volume, et puis je l'ay recommencé in -16⁰, auquel je besongne maintenant'), which must have been finished at the end of the year or in the beginning of 1571.
Note 2This is the only breviary printed by Plantin in a Gothic type.
