Note 1 | Plantin started in 1570 a second in 16mo edition (cf. the letter to F. Galletti, September - October 1570 [Corr., II, no. 243]: 'Depuis, j'ay encores faict une impression de mille Bréviaires in 8⁰ en ung volume, et puis je l'ay recommencé in -16⁰, auquel je besongne maintenant'), which must have been finished at the end of the year or in the beginning of 1571. |
