Rekers, Benito Arias Montano, pages 20 and 335 affirms - but without giving references - that this Latin poetry has been written by Arias Montanus about 1550, when studying at the University of Alcala de Henares; he should have earned with it, in a certamen, the title of poeta laureatus. |
