Note 1New edition of Plantin's 1564 Flores of Terentius (Latin texts and their French translation), with the addition of a Dutch translation (in Go; presented in the form of marginal notes). The foreword to the reader, now dated 15 May 1566, is identical to the one in the 1564-edition, but for the mention that a Dutch translation has been included ('…Gallicam interpretationem addidimus' did now become 'Gallicam et Teutonicam interpretationem addidimus…').
Note 2Claes, op. cit., page 186, no. 203, mentions an edition of Flores, seu Latinissimae formulae loquendi, ex P. Terentii comoediis excerptae, Latin texts with Dutch translations, published in that same year 1566 in Antwerp by Gulielmus Silvius (a copy in KBR Royal Library of Belgium). It does not seem that there is any direct relationship between the two Dutch translations as published by Plantin and Silvius.
Note 3According to the colophon the printing was finished on 13 April 1566.
Note 4The cost-accounting note in Arch. 4, folio 105, gives the following details about 'Terentii flores Latin françois flameng, 16⁰': the wages for composing and printing are entered from 2 March until 1 May 1566 and amount to 27 florins Carolus guilders 2 stuivers; 1,500 copies were printed. As each copy contains 7½ sheets, 24½ reams of paper 'grand carré' were used, which, at 1 florins Carolus guilders 12 stuivers per ream, came to 39 florins Carolus guilders 4 stuivers, bringing the overall costs to 66 florins Carolus guilders 6 stuivers 'Qui est plus de ¾ [stuivers] pièce'.
Note 5The entries in M 296, folio 6v, and M 164, folio 13v, can refer to this and/ or the subsequent re-editions: 'Flores Terentii cum Gall[ic]o et teuton[ic]o, 16⁰, f[euilles] 7, [price:] stuivers 1½).
