Note 2 | This edition was probably printed to accompany the Bible in 8⁰ published jointly by Plantin and Steelsius (but printed by Plantin) in 1559 (see no. cp010921). Very likely a number of copies were printed to be sold separately (in any case the copy in Museum Plantin-Moretus is bound with an in 8⁰ Bible of Steelsius, 1563, and the one in British Library London with an in 8⁰ Bible of A. Birckman, 1563). |
