Note 1 | This study of Corderius forms part of a series of 4 compendia of Despauterius's Latin grammar published by Plantin in 1568 (cf. sub Novimola, no. 1756). On the title-page of one of them - Erverveldius, Despauterii…ars versificatoria - is announced as forming an integral part of the publication 'M.C. de syllabarum quantitate' (cf. sub Erverveldius, no. 1136. See also Novimola, no. 1756). But Corderius's Regulae speciales de syllabarum quantitate received a special title-page and a special pagination which made of it a separate edition. |
Note 2 | Of this treatise of Corderius on the pronunciation of the vowels in Latin, no other edition is known. |
