Note 4 The edition was printed in Leiden, in the Officina Plantiniana apud Franciscum Raphelengium. A number of copies have this address (cf. BB, V, pages 292-293), but part of the edition received a title-page with Plantin's Antwerp imprint.
Note 5 The work was already on sale at the Frankfurt Fair in Lent 1589 J. Ruysschaert, Juste Lipse et les Annales de Tacite, page 13).
