Note 1 | Reprint of the 1558-edition. |
Note 2 | According to the colophon the printing was actually finished in 1566; a statement confirmed by the cost-accounting note. |
Note 3 | The cost-accounting note in Arch. 4, folio 111, gives the following details about 'Hieronymi Vidae opera': the wages for composing and printing are entered on 25 October 1566 (A-K: 11 florins Carolus guilders 15 stuivers, and an additional 1 florins Carolus guilders 2½ stuivers for 'Le format et les copies [= probably of the preceding edition, used as models by the compositors] ') and 23 November 1566 ('pour M et le reste: 12 feillustration: 28 florins Carolus guilders 4 stuivers'). They amount in all to 41 florins Carolus guilders 1½ stuivers As each copy contains 16 (= in fact 16¾) sheets and as 1,250 copies were printed, 42 reams (including 2 reams for the 'imperfections') of paper 'grand carré' were used, which, at 1 florins Carolus guilders 12 stuivers per ream, came to 67 florins Carolus guilders 4 stuivers, bringing the overall costs to 108 florins Carolus guilders 5½ stuivers |
Note 4 | Listed in M 296, folio 8v ([Hieronymus Vida in 16⁰] 2a ed[itio] [price:] stuivers 3½. Further on the same page: Hieronymi Vidȩ 2a editio, 16⁰, a⁰ -, f[euilles] 17, [price:] stuivers 3½). |
