Note 3 | On 7 April 1561 800 'divises heroiques de paradin gab. Symeon etc. 16⁰ Plantin 1561' were shipped to Martin le Jeune, Paris (Arch. 36, folio 3r), and on 28 April 1561 30 'Divises Heroiques', worth 7 florins Carolus guilders 10 stuivers, delivered to Pierre du Pré (Ibidem, folio 5v). |
Note 4 | In M 296, folio 5v, and M 164, folio 10r, is listed as the only French Paradin-edition: 'Devises Heroiques de Paradin, 16⁰, f[euilles] 10, [price:] stuivers 2½'. The entry very likely refers not to the 1561- and 1562-editions (which have 11 sheets) but to the 1567-edition (which has 10 sheets). |
