Description |
Interpretations of Vashti’s character as reflected in contemporary works of art. These pieces explore her role in the Book of Esther and the connections between beauty, power and obedience. Exhibits included three examples of Esther & Vashti flags/bells, a new object introduced by the “Ma’ayan” organization in 2002, which are to be waved every time Esther or Vashti’s name is mentioned during the megillah reading.
