Burial rites and rituals of Eastern-European Jews, with particular emphasis on the activities of the Hevra Kadisha and the iconography of Yahrzeit forms. Exhibits included objects from material culture (including a Jewish hearse from Transylvania, early 20th C), as well as national art and literature.
