Description |
An exhibition constructed around eight questions related to kashrut. Questions, such as Did Noah have pigs in the Ark? Does every Jewish household have two kitchens? and What does matzo contain?, provide the springboard for examining historical, cultural, religious, and social dimensions of the multifaceted term “kosher” in Vienna and the world. Various dishes and recipes served as a culinary supplement, bringing to life a wide variety of ceremonial and domestic objects, Jewish holidays and personal stories. Introductory essays by Danielle Spera and the exhibition curators. No itemized listing. |
