31 extremely precious, internationally unique or collection-formative manuscripts and printed works related to the Hebrew Bible. These exhibits, which date from the Middle Ages through the 18th C, and include the only complete surviving medieval manuscript of the Babylonian Talmud (Cod.hebr. 95, France, 1342), illustrated the continued historical and scholarly relevance of the holdings of this 455-year old library. Exhibition in three sections: Hebraica, The Old Testament in German, and The Psalms. Descriptive entries. 31 items. |
