Description |
An extraordinary 17th-century wooden model of Solomon’s Temple that was publicly displayed for more than 100 years in the Dresden Zwinger. Through a digitally-constructed holographic realization, the model (which today resides in Hamburg’s municiple history museum) was “restored” to its former setting in Dresden, in celebration of the Zwinger’s 300th anniversary. Exhibition catalog with essays on the model’s historical background, its digital replica, and other related topics. A small selection of objects accompany the model, recalling the “Juden-Cabinet” that was originally displayed alongside it in Dresden. In-depth historical entries. 7 items. |
