Computer-generated reconstructions of German synagogues destroyed during Kristallnacht. Catalog with 4 essays, including two on: the history of Jewish religious architecture (Marc Grellert), and an introduction to German synagogues (Salomon Korn). Reconstructions presented according to city, each with introductory text on the building’s history. Exhibition (from Bonn, Germany) divided into three sections: 1. historical introduction to the process of discrimination and social ostracism of the Jews, which culminated in Kristallnacht, 2. photographic documentation of the synagogues’ destruction process, 3. virtual tours inside the synagogue reconstructions.
