Description |
Arthur Szyk’s political illustrations from World War II. These works, which were ubiquitous in American newspapers and magazines of the time, unmasked the face of the Nazi enemy, strongly influenced popular opinion, and expressed the artist’s unswerving support for Zionism and the Jewish people. Material in three sections, each with essay and illustrations: Jewish Artist, Wartime Caricaturist, and Action—Not Pity. No itemized listing. |
