Description |
Clay statuettes made by Ethiopian Jewish women in Israel who immigrated from the Aksum and Gondar regions. These figurines, which depict elements of Ethiopian life, were originally produced by Ethiopian potters in the early 1960’s for the tourist trade. Works by Ethiopian children who arrived in Jerusalem with Operation Solomon were also exhibited. No itemized listing. |
