Description |
An exhibition of objects that had been confiscated by the Nazis from the Jewish Museum of Vienna and transfered to other museums in the city, where they were used to illustrate the inferiority of the Jews. For the present exhibition, these items were returned to their wartime homes and displayed with documents referring to their forced appropriation. Material arranged according to institution, with full descriptive entries for each object. Following their exhibition, these pieces were reunited in the inauguration of the permanent collection of the Jewish Museum of Vienna (January 1996). Descriptive entries. 76 items. |
