An exhibition on the significant influence that Jewish individuals had on Mozart’s life, art and reputation, both during and after his lifetime. A variety of pictures, documents, manuscripts, facsimiles, etc. illustrate how Mozart benifited from the noble policies of Emperor Joseph II towards the Jews, how he himself was reasonably free from antisemitic feelings, and how Jewish musicians and musicologists have contributed to the world’s appreciation of his work.
