Description |
The first public viewing of a group of Judaica objects confiscated by the Nazis in the 1930’s. These and other items were taken from closed synagogues and the Museum of Jewish Culture, transferred to the stores of the Ministry of the Interior and the Historic Museum, and later moved to the Museum of Historic Treasures of the Ukrainian. Their study, conservation and exhibition was banned for decades. This exhibition marked the first time these Judaica treasures were shown outside of the Ukraine.
