Catalog essay on Hirsch, who was the first Jewish philanthropist to envisage large-scale resettlement of the oppressed Jews of Czarist Russia, the activities of the ICA (in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Eastern Europe, Turkey & Cyprus, Eretz Israel, and other places), and the activities of the Baron Hirsch Fund in the United States.
