A photo-documentary exhibition showing what remains of the once-vibrant Caribbean Jewish community. All material drawn from a research expedition sponsored by Beit Hatfutsot. Images (many of synagogues and cemeteries) and “Travel Notes” by photojournalist Micha Bar-Am. Main catalog essay by Mordechai Arbell, director of the project, gives a brief history of the Jews of this region and the individual communities that comprise it. No itemized listing. |
