Six brief introductory essays on such topics as: Jewish Emancipation in Prussia, the “Burden of Success”, and Christianity and Judaism, followed by chronological chapters that cover a myriad of historical, political and social topics, phenomena and individual personalities. Much attention given to early antisemitism in this region and its recurrence throughout the ages. No itemized listing.
