A monumental exhibition about the history of Prussia, comprised of more than 2000 objects displayed in thirty rooms. Room 13 “Bevölkerungspolitik und Minoritätenschutz” [Population Policy and Minority Protection] included 29 exhibits related to Prussian Jewry, antisemitism, and individual Jewish personalities, especially Moses Mendelssohn (pp. 232–238, cat. nos. 13/21–13/49). The introductory essay to this section, “Toleranz aus Notwendigkeit” [Tolerance out of Necessity], discusses the position of Jews, Hugenots and Protestants. More than 2000 items. |
